Grief Coaching
With grief coaching you’re supported by someone who has journeyed with grief and acts as your guide. Someone who understands and knows the pitfalls and challenges that keep you stuck.
Is Coaching like therapy?
No. Counseling and therapy focus on the past and how you got to where you are now. Coaching focuses on the future and who you want to be.
What role does a coach play?
As your coach, I am your advocate and encourager, your cheerleader and friend. I can help you find and clear those obstacles standing between where you are and where you want to be.
Who is coaching for?
Everyone. Grief is not always about death and dying, grief is loss. If you have lost anything in your life you have felt grief.
Why can’t I get over my grief?
Well, the bad news is you don’t. Grief stays with us forever. The good news is, it gets easier! It shapes who we are and we ca learn to grow and adapt WITH our grief instead of trying to work around it.
What does a coaching session look like?
Just as no two griefs are the same, no two clients are. First and foremost I am a safe space for your emotions. I can then help you learn to find your new self after loss and develop the skills to work though the hardest days.
I think I’m ready. Now what?
Let’s schedule a complimentary 30 minute session to decide is coaching is right for you.
Facility Staff Support
Supporting senior living and assisted living staff through the emotional realities of caregiving.
When residents die, staff don’t just lose someone they cared for, they often lose someone they loved.
Yet many caregivers are expected to move on quickly… and keep working.
Grief support helps staff process loss, reduce burnout, and continue providing compassionate care without carrying it all alone.
Staff in senior living communities experience repeated loss. They build real relationships with residents and families, then are expected to carry on as if nothing happened.
Over time, that grief can show up as:
Emotional exhaustion
Burnout and compassion fatigue
Detachment from residents
Higher turnover
Difficulty processing cumulative loss
Providing space to acknowledge grief shouldn’t be a luxury. It’s essential support for the people who make your community run.
I provide facilitated grief support sessions specifically designed for healthcare and senior living staff.
Sessions may include:
Guided discussion about grief and loss in caregiving
Education about cumulative grief and compassion fatigue
Tools for coping with ongoing loss
Space to process recent resident deaths
Practical strategies for emotional resilience
Sessions are compassionate, practical, and grounded in real-world caregiving experiences.
