I provide comfort and education to the people your organization serves. Through grief and death planning workshops, facilitated support groups, and engaging presentations, I help communities talk openly about loss, prepare with confidence, and support one another. Each session is tailored to your audience and offered with compassion, honesty, and care.
Education and Public Speaking
Workshops
Grief and death planning can feel overwhelming, but a little guidance makes a big difference. My workshops give participants practical tools and a comfortable space to ask questions. Topics include navigating grief, starting conversations with loved ones, and preparing for the future with confidence. Sessions are interactive, easy to follow, and adaptable to your group's size and needs.
Journaling Through Grief
Sometimes grief has no words, and sometimes it has too many. In this hands-on workshop, participants are guided through gentle writing prompts that help them process loss, honor their memories, and put feelings on the page. No writing experience is needed, only a willingness to show up. Participants leave with new tools they can return to on their own.
Beyond Wills: Writing your Death Plan
Planning for the end of life is one of the most caring things we can do for the people we love. This workshop walks participants through the key decisions and documents involved, from medical wishes and final arrangements to legacy and personal messages. Attendees leave with a clearer picture of what they want and a practical start on putting it in writing.
Other workshops can be created speicifically to your needs.
Presentations
I offer engaging talks for congregations, care teams, staff gatherings, and community events. Each presentation blends education with empathy, leaving audiences better informed and more at ease with topics they may have avoided. Presentations can be tailored in length and focus to fit your event.
Each presentation can be adapted to your audience and time frame, from a 30-minute talk to a half-day session.
Navigating End of Life with a Death Doula
What does a death doula do, and how can one support a person and their family through the end of life? This talk demystifies the role, explores the emotional, practical, and spiritual sides of dying, and offers ways to bring more peace and presence to the process.
Collective Grief in Community
Loss does not only touch individuals. It ripples through congregations, workplaces, and neighborhoods. This presentation explores how communities grieve together, how to acknowledge shared loss, and how to create space for healing as a group.
Caregiving Without Burnout
Caring for someone you love is an act of devotion, and it can also be exhausting. This talk offers realistic strategies for setting boundaries, asking for help, and tending to your own well-being while caring for others.
Supporting a Loved One with Chronic Illness
Living alongside chronic illness brings its own kind of uncertainty and grief. This presentation helps family members, friends, and caregivers learn how to offer meaningful support, communicate with compassion, and care for themselves along the way.
Other presentations can be created speicifically to your needs.
Support Groups
Grief can feel isolating, and sometimes the most healing thing is being among others who understand. I facilitate support groups that offer a safe, welcoming space for people to share their stories, process loss, and find connection. Groups can be designed as a single gathering or an ongoing series, and are open to your members, patients, families, or community
Grief Support Group
Loss changes everything, and it helps to have people beside you who understand. This group offers a warm, confidential space to share memories, express what you're feeling, and be heard without judgment. Participants don't need to have the right words or any words at all. Sharing is always optional, and everyone moves through grief at their own pace.
Caregiver Support Group
Caring for someone else can quietly take everything you have. This group gives caregivers a place to rest, be honest about the hard days, and trade practical ideas with others who truly get it. Whether you're caring for a spouse, parent, or friend, you'll find encouragement, community, and a reminder that your needs matter too.
Other support groups can be created speicifically to your needs.
Bring This to Your Organization
Every community is different, so I customize each session to fit your audience, schedule, and goals. Whether you're looking for a one-time event or a recurring program, I'd love to talk about what would serve your people best.
